Due to their design, the most commonly used roof tiles (Roll Tiles or Double Romans) in the UK have a curve which is designed to create a gap at the roofs edge allowing it to breath. The problem with this system is that it leaves enough room for small birds and vermin to gain access to your loft and build nests. Birds will often peck away at exposed roofing felt. This can eventually result in rain getting in unseen onto the timber rafters causing rot and into the loft causing damp. This can result in expensive treatment and in worst case scenarios, a new roof.
Our Bird Guard system will ensure that an adequate barrier is created against birds, vermin and large insects.
